Refund & Cancellation Policy – Ghartak Apps

Effective Date: May 27, 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all services offered through:

  • Ghartak User App

  • Ghartak Vendor App

  • Ghartak Delivery Partner App

By using Ghartak services, you agree to this policy.


1. Order Cancellation Policy

Customer Cancellation

Customers may cancel an order only before:

  • The vendor starts preparing the order

  • The order is packed or dispatched

  • A delivery partner is assigned (depending on the order stage)

Once order preparation or delivery processing has started, cancellation may not be allowed.

Ghartak reserves the right to approve or reject cancellation requests based on order status.


2. Vendor Cancellation

Vendors may cancel orders only for valid reasons, including:

  • Product unavailability

  • Store closure

  • Technical issues

  • Unforeseen circumstances

Repeated unnecessary cancellations may affect vendor account performance or lead to account action.


3. Delivery Partner Cancellation

Delivery Partners should avoid canceling assigned deliveries except for genuine reasons such as:

  • Vehicle breakdown

  • Safety concerns

  • Incorrect delivery information

  • Emergency situations

Frequent cancellations may result in reduced order allocation or account suspension.


4. Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be issued under the following situations:

Eligible Refund Cases

  • Order canceled before preparation

  • Payment deducted but order not confirmed

  • Item unavailable after payment

  • Incorrect or missing items

  • Damaged or spoiled products

  • Delivery failure caused by platform or vendor issues

  • Duplicate payment transactions

Refund requests are reviewed based on order details and platform verification.


5. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds may not be provided in the following cases:

  • Incorrect address provided by customer

  • Customer unavailable during delivery

  • Delay caused by external conditions such as traffic or weather

  • Change of mind after order preparation

  • Minor packaging issues that do not affect product quality

Ghartak reserves the final right to determine refund eligibility.


6. Refund Processing Time

Refund timelines may vary depending on the payment method:

  • UPI refunds: 2–7 business days

  • Bank/Card refunds: 5–10 business days

  • Wallet refunds: Usually processed instantly or within 24 hours

Processing times may vary depending on banking systems and payment providers.


7. Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders

For COD orders:

  • Refunds may be processed through bank transfer, UPI, or wallet credit

  • Customers may be required to provide payment details for refund processing


8. Wallet & Promotional Refunds

  • Promotional credits, coupons, and bonus wallet amounts may not be refundable or transferable.

  • Expired offers and promotional balances cannot be redeemed for cash.


9. Failed Transactions

If payment is deducted but the order is not placed successfully:

  • The amount is usually auto-reversed by the payment provider.

  • If the refund is not received within the expected timeframe, customers should contact support.


10. Disputes & Verification

Ghartak may request additional information for refund investigations, including:

  • Order screenshots

  • Product images

  • Payment proof

  • Delivery details

Fraudulent refund requests may result in account suspension.


11. Platform Rights

Ghartak reserves the right to:

  • Approve or reject refund requests

  • Hold refunds during investigation

  • Limit refund eligibility for repeated abuse

  • Modify this policy at any time
